Vaishno Devi is one of the most revered Hindu pilgrimage sites in India, located in the Trikuta Mountains of the Reasi district in Jammu and Kashmir. Dedicated to the Mother Goddess Vaishno Devi (a manifestation of Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasaraswati), the Vaishno Devi shrine is situated at an altitude of approximately 5,200 feet. The Vaishno Devi pilgrimage involves a trek of about 12–13 km from the base camp at Katra.
