The Statue of Unity is the world's tallest statue, standing at a colossal height of 182 meters (597 feet). Located in Kevadia (now called Ekta Nagar) in the Narmada district of Gujarat, India, the Statue of Unity stands on a river island named Sadhu Bet facing the iconic Sardar Sarovar Dam. The Statue of Unity is dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India's first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, who is revered as the "Iron Man of India" for successfully uniting 562 princely states into a single Indian Union.
