Hemkund Sahib is a highly revered Sikh shrine (Gurdwara) located in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district, India, nestled at 4,329-4,572 meters (approx. 14,200–15,000 ft) beside a pristine, snow-capped glacial lake. Dedicated to Guru Gobind Singh, Hemkund Sahib is considered one of the highest Gurudwaras in the world and is open seasonally from May to October.
